Newest Collins 32S-1 Addition

I picked this 32S-1 up on eBay. It is in excellent physical condition. It did not come with the crystals but I have those crystals in a separate 32S-1 parts chassis. It didn’t have any of the knobs but again, I had those knobs on the 32S-1 parts chassis. I picked up a cabinet for this transmitter.

Front View, notice the panel has the original texture.

Inside top view. Notice how clean the chassis is.

Bottom view. Notice the 4 diode BM (Balance Modulator) modification has been done. All the old capacitors have been replaced with Orange drop caps. There doesn’t appear to be any other mods or wiring changes.

Serial number 265 indicates this 32S-1 was produced in 1958.
